April classes:

Bobble Tote:

Back by popular demand, we are offering another session of our Bobble Tote class. Once you see this tote, you won't be able to resist knitting one for yourself! The bobble tote, knit in super-chunky Aspen yarn from GGH, is perfect for a knitting bag or everyday purse. It is covered in bobbles, and trimmed with leather handles and accents from Grayson E. Before class, check your gauge and knit a garter stitch rectangle for the bottom of the bag. In the first class, you will learn how to pick up stitches and knit bobbles. In the second class, we will go over assembly with the leather trim and sew fabric linings.

Rainbow Poncho:

Knit yourself the perfect spring garment, and learn a few new techniques at the same time! The rainbow poncho is knit in the round with self-striping wool yarn. You will learn how to do a provisional cast-on, knit in the round on circular needles, increase, pick up stitches, and make a buttonhole.

Baby Tiles Blanket:

This gorgeous baby blanket is created with a modular knitting technique and mitered squares. A double strand of Tofutsies sock yarn throughout gives this blanket its beautiful color range, soft texture, and easy care. Make one now for the next baby on the way!

Boot Camp Beginner Knitting:

If you've been waiting to learn knitting for the first time, freshen up some old skills, or move beyond the scarf, be sure to sign up for our Boot Camp Series. There are four classes, broken up into two sessions. In Boot Camp 1 & 2, you will learn how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off, and you will make two cotton dishcloths. In Boot Camp 3 & 4, you will learn how to take gauge, read a pattern, and knit in the round on circular and double-pointed needles to make a cute hat. We have everything you need!

Sock and Sweater Workshop:
Kate is hosting a Sock and Sweater Workshop class every Saturday morning from 10 to 12. She will help you through every step of making a sweater, a pair of socks, or any other project, whether it be your first time or just a special challenge. Knit at your own pace, and just come on the weeks when you need help. The workshop will cost $10 for each session that you attend. There is no need to pre-register for this class.

Sock and Sweater Workshop
$10 per session
Saturdays 10 - 12, ongoing

Class Policy: You can sign up for class by calling or emailing the shop, but your space will not be reserved until you have paid your class fee. After that, if you need to cancel, you will only be able to get a refund of your class fee if you cancel two weeks or more before the class begins. This helps us schedule more classes for you, and ensures that people are not turned away from a class when there is room! Thank you.

As classes fill up, we mark them as FULL. Stay tuned for future offerings of classes that may awaken the knitting bug in you.

Come in any time for help with your project, or schedule a private lesson by calling the shop. Private lessons are $20 per hour per student, and can be for one to six students.

Sit and knit anytime, make your own group, or come to our established groups either Tuesdays 10 to 4, Wednesdays 10 to 4, or Thursdays 6 to 9.
